Of the foods that are safe to eat or avoid, the most common allergens are peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, eggs, and shellfish. Of course, that doesnt mean that you should ignore your own personal food choices. But if you have an allergy to one of these foods, it becomes very important to find out where you might be allergic. This is because even though you think youve tested for it, you might not actually be allergic to it.

It can be hard to know where to start when it comes to looking for an allergen. At a first glance, we might be able to guess that peanut is the culprit. But once we read through the ingredient list, we realize that we are probably allergic to peanuts, which is a lot harder to find! That said, we shouldnt be surprised when we find out that our house is full of peanuts.
